Descriptive Summary:

This presentation will introduce trauma-informed practice from a social justice lens as a call to action. It will focus on ways to reimagine a practice and leadership style that uses collaboration, empowerment and trustworthiness under the umbrella of social justice to build communities that are grounded in compassion and accountability and whose leaders employ these practices.

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion, participants will be able to:

Understand trauma and trauma-informed practice from a social justice perspective;

Learn skills in practicing and leading through a trauma-informed social justice lens; and

Help build a community of leaders with a trauma-informed social justice approach.
